Las Palmas & Warm Springs: November 10-16

We had a lesson with a new investigator named Tanya! When we first met her, it was because we were inspired to knock on her door. We gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and she told us she was really excited to learn more about it and to learn why we chose to serve our missions! When we had the lesson, we tried a new way of teaching that our zone is trying out. It's something from the Ogden Utah mission called Proselyting for the Elect that made them really successful. We talk about the Holy Ghost before anything else and then we invite people to be baptized before we even teach the lesson! It's amazing! It is so powerful and it works entirely by the missionaries' faith. Tanya told us that the reason she invited us back is because we glowed when she met us at her door. The whole lesson went perfectly because it wasn't directed by us at all--it was the Spirit!

We had another lesson with a new investigator named Doris. She is such a sweet old lady! She loves the Mormon Tabernacle Choir SO much and talks a ton. We're excited to continue teaching her!

Yesterday we went to a devotional by the Nashville Tribute band with Matt right after a lesson. It was great! The Nashville Tribute looks at Christ from the perspective of other people in the Bible. They were performing for a stake in our zone. It was an amazing experience to take that time with Matt to ponder about the Savior in a different way! It was kind of strange though because the devotional strongly resembled a rock concert and wasn't your typical LDS music night. Matt is going to be baptized this week! He's super excited and so are we!

I love you all! Have a wonderful week!
