It's been a great week! Something really cool happened at church--a recent convert, who is recovering from cancer, told us she had a friend with terminal cancer who had read the Book of Mormon and just decided she wants to be baptized! She's never met with missionaries before, so it was quite a welcome shock! We were fasting for a new investigator and the answer to our prayers came within hours! It's amazing :)
We also committed two of our investigators, Anna and Braeden, to be baptized on 14 September! They're part of an awesome family. The dad, Adrian, was baptized in February and he's on fire! Anna is his wife and Braeden is one of their sons. Anna is sarcastic and hilarious; she loves to scare my companion (it works every time!) and Braeden is 11 years old and kind of shy, but he loves his pet fish named Ember. I'm not kidding when I say he loves it. Every time we go over (we see them at least 3 times a week) he tells us what Ember has done. Ember's a crazy fish! Braeden wanted to make sure Ember could be baptized too, so we had a fun little discussion about that. They've been in the process of moving to a floor level apartment literally around the corner, so we've been helping them out with that. Anna and Braeden have been eternigators until yesterday, when Anna told us she wanted to be baptized on 14 September because it's her sister's birthday. We weren't going to argue with that!
We also got to visit a recent RM who shared lots of fun finding ideas with us and gave us 10 referrals! It's been a wonderful week.
I love you all!
